Funeral services for Donald Eugene Hoyt, 3 1/2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ealy Hoyt of West Lafayette who was killed Friday when struck by a truck, was held at the residence in West Lafayette at 10 a.m. Monday. The body was then taken to Covington for burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
The boy was riding a tricycle down a slope into the street late Friday afternoon when he was hit by a laundry truck and died a few minutes later. The driver of the truck was not held.
Donald Hoyt was born in Covington in January 1940 son of Ealy and Nora Frankeberger Hoyt. Surviving in addition to the parents are two sisters, Betty and Barbara Hoyt.
